NOMADIC TOWN

‘A city is more than a place in space, it is a drama in time.’

The Nomadic Town is a fictional street in Mannheim where everyone is invited in the production of soap. The proposal is to develop an education and leisure facility for soap production that celebrates the power of ordinary TV soap and empower the divided migrant community in learning, co-production, and entertainment. The intangible flow of cultures will be brought back to life on screen of every home as a composition of city-scale storyline. The scheme aims not only to cultivate skills and confident for young people, but also develop a self-sustaining model for regenerating its cultural, social, and economic life.
