THE SOUK OF SAN SIRO

In a future where material scarcity is an inevitability, the frivolity of fast fashion will no longer be indulged in its current form, and the industry needs to adapt to match a changing climate. In response, The Prada Group have commissioned the The Souk of San Siro: a state of the art facility which demonstrates how a circular economy can be achieved through the reuse, up-cycle and re-sale of unwanted, unsold or worn out clothes, reducing reliance on raw materials. The complex will also host a pioneering research facility where the materials of tomorrow will be discovered, paving the way to a sustainable future.

As a key part of the thesis, the Design Manifesto outlined the intentions and research of the project.
